Kilkenny Storm Ice & Inline Hockey Club Takes Over St. Patrick's Day Parade

This year, the Kilkenny Storm Ice & Inline Hockey Club had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Kilkenny St. Patrick's Day parade, and it was an experience to remember! With a fantastic turnout from club members, including players as young as six, we rolled through the medieval streets of the Marble City, showcasing our club’s spirit, our vibrant colours, and, of course, our skating skills.

The parade route wound through Kilkenny’s beautiful streets, offering the perfect backdrop of historic stone buildings and stunning architecture. Skating through this iconic city felt like something out of a dream, as our players confidently glided past crowds of enthusiastic onlookers. The excitement in the air was palpable, with cheers of support from the spectators ringing out as we made our way through.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing our players interact with the crowd. From fist bumps to high fives, there was an undeniable connection between our skaters and the people cheering them on. The energy was contagious, and it was evident that the support from the community was incredibly appreciated by every single member of the Kilkenny Storm family.

For our youngest players, this was a special moment to shine. As young as six, our newest recruits were out there, showing off their skills with wide smiles on their faces. To see these little athletes brimming with pride as they skated through the streets, representing the club, was nothing short of heartwarming.

The support from the crowd was phenomenal. Whether it was a simple cheer or a wave from the crowd, the encouragement given to our players gave everyone that extra bit of motivation to perform at their best. It was a reminder of how important community is and how sports can bring people together in such positive ways.
