Supporting Our Local Heroes: Team Ireland Ice Hockey Players Head Overseas

We are incredibly proud to announce that this year, eleven talented players from our community will represent Kilkenny Storm Inline and Ice Hockey Club as part of the Team Ireland Ice Hockey Teams. These young athletes, both girls and boys, are set to compete on the international stage, showcasing their hard work, dedication, and love for the sport.

Some of our players will be travelling to incredible locations such as Kalamazoo, Halifax, Coventry, Finland, and Colorado to represent Team Ireland. These destinations highlight the global nature of the competitions and the level of skill our players are bringing to the ice.

As a volunteer-led, non-profit organisation, our club operates thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the unwavering support of our local community. This year, we face a significant challenge: the cost of sending our youth overseas to compete. From flights and accommodation to tournament fees, jerseys, team kits, and meals, the expenses are substantial.

Upcoming Fundraiser: Table Quiz

To help cover these costs, our club is organising a Table Quiz on Thursday, 6th February, at 8 PM in The Village Inn. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, have some fun, and support our young athletes. We invite everyone to join us for this exciting event and help make a difference.
